this is beautiful, and though i’m rooting for my rangers it excites me because it reminds me of how much i love hockey no matter the team

On Fridays he usually comes over, but the circumstances weren’t so ideal today so instead we went to our favorite pool place SoHo Billiards and played a few games. Today was especially good because my skills at this game are steadily improving. Not to sound cocky but I made some impressive shots today, even though I would get severely discouraged whenever he’d go on runs, shooting in balls one after the other… I still beat him three games to two because he shot the wrong balls (the eight, twice lol). It was a lot of fun kicking his butt singing along to Gangster’s Paradise in the background.
Afterwards we went to Pulino’s and ate some nice foods. For dessert of course we got a piece of chocolate cake as we always do. There were cherries on top so when we played the standing game we had to leave the cherry on top. This game requires you to eat around the cherry (or whatever item tops your cake) as much as you can before the chocolate underneath it falls on it’s side. I won this time and got ten kisses as a reward.
About the cherub, as soon as we saw it we thought of our beloved Kruppe from Gardens of the Moon. Just had to take the picture.

Today is the day after the day we made twenty eight months. I was having lady problems so he came over my house for about four hours and had fun together. We watched the season one finale of Boardwalk Empire and then did yoga together and played some PS3 and wrestled. I called him B-word and P-word while I punched him everywhere, but all he did was laugh at me, so I punched him harder. Then we listed all of the historical black figures we could name from the top of our heads for black history month and we got: Booker T. Washington, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, MLK, Malcolm X, Frederick Douglass, and Mozart since he was part black and everyone seems to overlook that. Then we sat down on the carpet and just kissed each other for a few minutes before he had to go :(. Time to wait for next friday.

The night held close
as I wandered
my spirit unfooted
to either earth or stone
unravelled from tree
undriven by iron nail
but like the night itself
a thing of air
stripped of light
so I came upon them,
those masons who cut and carved
stone in the night
sighting by stars…
